Overview

The DSD5000 is UEC's successor to the DSD4921RV — previously Australia's most trusted VAST twin tuner satellite set-top box. It carries the same compact chassis but features a complete internal hardware rebuild, designed for both home use and life on the road.

Twin DVB-S2 Tuners (PVR Ready) The DSD5000 features twin DVB-S2 tuners, allowing you to record one channel while watching another. It's PVR-ready with USB storage support ranging from 8GB to 2TB.

VAST Certified It delivers free-to-air satellite TV across Australia, making it ideal for remote and rural areas where terrestrial signals don't reach.

Dual Power Support (12V / 240V) The DSD5000 works equally well at home on 240V AC or on the road via 12V DC, making it a natural fit for caravans and motorhomes.

7-Segment Digital Display A 7-segment front display lets you navigate channels by number — a practical addition over the previous model.

8-Day Electronic Program Guide (EPG) The built-in 8-day EPG includes a search feature, closed captions, audio descriptor support, parental controls, and a clock in standby mode.

Remote Control Extender Port Includes a remote control extender port, useful when the unit is mounted out of direct line-of-sight.

Physical Specs

The DSD5000 is the smallest VAST-certified satellite receiver on the market, measuring just 225mm × 42mm × 135mm and weighing 450 grams.

Standby Power Consumption: 0.43A DC without a recording device connected, 0.53A DC with one connected — very low draw, especially important for 12V setups.
